Michelle Peterson, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Michelle has many years of experience in the outpatient orthopedics setting. She completed her undergraduate degree in Nutrition at the University of Vermont in 2007 where she fell in love with VT and met her husband. Michelle received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2010 and worked in the metro Boston area for many years until fulfilling her family’s “dream” of moving to the Burlington area of VT.

Michelle is passionate about treating the whole person and is always looking for the root cause of injury or pathology to help her patients get back to their lifestyle and sport specific goals. Michelle has advanced training in manual therapy techniques as well as the McKenzie method and is a Graston Technique Provider (instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization). She enjoys all aspects of orthopedics and sports medicine including post-operative care, working with athletes of all ages and abilities, and spinal rehabilitation.

When not in the clinic you will find Michelle exploring this beautiful state with her husband and two young children, running, hiking, skiing/ snowboarding, gardening, and enjoying Lake Champlain.
