Sam Messenger, ATC
Sam is a Certified Athletic Trainer who graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from the University of Vermont in 2018. Since graduation, he has worked as the Athletic Trainer for Missisquoi Valley Union High School and assisted physicians in Orthopedic and Occupational Health clinics. He is interested in the biomechanics of human movement and how it relates not only to injury, but to overall athletic performance. Clinically, he believes in taking a full body approach to rehab to help address the root cause of the initial injury and help the athlete restore (and even improve) their functionality and performance. He also enjoys the on-field aspects of being an Athletic Trainer and is excited to be working with UVM Club Sports.
When not working, Sam enjoys staying active by hiking, snowboarding, and playing semi-professional football. He also plays guitar and is a huge dog person.
