Julie M. Allen, PTA, NCTMB, CSTS, NASM-CPT
Julie M. Allen graduated from Lasell College in Newton, MA is 1998 with an Associates Degree in Physical Therapy. Shortly thereafter she began her career in Sports and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation. In 2000 Julie attended the Vermont Institute of Massage and sat and passed the National Certification exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Julie became a Certified Strength Training Specialist through the International Weightlifting Association in 2001. Julie attended California University of Pennsylvania’s online degree program and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Health and Fitness. During her studies, Julie also sat for the National Academy of Sports Medicine’s Certified Personal Trainer exam. In June of 2012 Julie completed the necessary competencies through the Dr. Vodder International School to be a Certified Manual Lymph Drainage and Decongestive Therapist. Julie’s Physical Therapy interests include Sports Medicine, Pre and Post Surgical therapy, Myofascial Release, Aquatic therapy, Lyme Disease treatment and Manual Lymph Drainage. Julie resides in South Burlington with her two children, Caleb and Caden and her Rottweilers, Rex and Roxy. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, weightlifting, motorcycle riding and other outdoor activities that Vermont has to offer.
